NEW YORK (WLS) —
A Delta airplane traveling from Chicago ran into a snowbank Saturday early morning at LaGuardia Airport in New York Town.
Delta Flight 5964 landed safely on the runway, but when the pilot turned onto the taxiway, he ran into a snowbank right after failing to thoroughly negotiate the turn, a spokesperson for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey reported.
The airplane, which was carrying seventy seven travellers, remained there for about thirty minutes till transferring to a terminal where the travellers ended up unloaded, the Port Authority spokesperson reported.
“The ground crew swiftly assisted in clearing the snow, and the aircraft then taxied to the gate on its have electricity. The security of our buyers and crew associates is our prime precedence,” a Delta Airways spokesperson reported.
No accidents ended up noted.
