ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A pilot died just after acquiring a professional medical episode on a flight landing at the Albuquerque Intercontinental Sunport Wednesday evening, according to American Airways.

“American Airways is deeply saddened by the dying of 1st officer William “Mike” Grubbs,” reported a spokeswoman for the organization. “We’re getting treatment of 1st officer Grubbs relatives and colleagues and our thoughts and prayers are with them them all through this time.”

Dan Jiron reported American Airways flight 1353 was flying from Dallas-Fort Value. About three:forty five p.m., a pair minutes ahead of landing, the captain declared a professional medical unexpected emergency, he reported.

“They landed without the need of incident, taxied to the gate and have been achieved by professional medical personnel,” Jiron reported. 

About an hour later the Office of the Clinical Investigator was called to the scene, indicating the particular person had died.

Jiron reported there was no impact on the airport by itself and all of the passengers on the flight have been alright.
