A Knott’s Berry Farm journey malfunctioned and trapped 18 riders 130 toes in the air Friday afternoon, authorities stated.
The malfunction occurred on the common Sky Cabin journey, a sluggish-going attraction that lifts riders up to 180 toes for a 360-diploma perspective of Buena Park and the bordering area. None of the riders are hurt or in risk and though it is raining, the journey is enclosed, said Capt. Larry Kurtz, spokesman for the Orange County Fireplace Authority.
“Time is on our facet,” Kurtz stated.
Knott’s Berry Farm officials contacted the Orange County Fireplace Authority a minimal right before 5 p.m. about the incident. It is not obvious how long the riders had been trapped, Kurtz said.
About 36 firefighters are working with the journey operators to reduce the cab that bears the passengers back again to the floor, Kurtz additional.
